Upgrades

Upgrades
Index: Attack, Defence, Cooling
In Feudal Alloy you don't gain experience the way you would expect, only way to level up and upgrade your skills is to collect enough scrap. Scrap in the game works as experience, so the more scrap you collect, the faster you will gain special upgrades to attack, defense, and other properties. The amount of scrap collected is displayed on the upper scale on the top right next to the gear icon. It can be obtained from the breakable boxes and barrels, but the main source of scrap will be dropped from the enemies you defeat.
You can access the upgrade screen by using the inventory button to open the menu and switching to the second tab. There are 3 trees there, representing attack, defense, and cooling. Upon getting skill points, you can choose from lower upgrades and work your way upward. When choosing, you need to pay attention to what other upgrades are on the given tree. For example, the attack tree, in addition to damage, also reduces overheating, thus replacing the upgrades from the cooling tree. The defense tree, in turn, improves both armor and oil capacity and partially the cooling system. And finally, the cooling tree on the second branch offers a magnetic body, thanks to which you will get scrap better and reach other upgrades faster.
