Bosses
Index: Arenas, Boss 1.0, Boss 2.0

In Feudal Alloy there are two true bosses where you fight against the fish bandit who is controlling giant robots, and you have to figure out the way to defeat it. Furthermore, in every map there is an arena, so 10 arenas in total. Once you walk into the arena, you are locked in, and in order to survive, you have to eliminate waves of enemies. Arenas further into the game will have a gimmick, which will make your stay that much harder.

Arenas

Credit: Instructions for arenas and bosses are from a translated guide on http://attu.nothrem.cz/, created by Nothrem Sinsky.

General Tips

  • Keep in mind that arenas are challenging and you will die; so plan accordingly. At the initial attempt, try to explore your options and focus on heat management. Upon dying, you will not lose anything, but all your used consumables and bombs are gone, so it is recommended to not waste them at first.
  • Use savepoints before going into the arena to cut down the run back to it and to restore your oil back to full.
  • Every arena has multiple waves of enemies, and the next wave starts after you destroy all the enemies from the previous one. Use this to your advantage and leave one enemy of your choosing alive and replenish your health, and let the heat cool down before destroying it so you can face the next wave fresh.
  • Use your whole arsenal. Since arenas are only one screen, there is always limited space to get some breathing room. Use modules like dash to get through the enemies, electromagnetic pulse to stun enemies, and electric waves to damage anything before closing the distance, and utilize bombs, which are good support against enemies like helicopters or safely destroying enemies from above platforms.

Arena 1
The first arena on map 1 has no objects to interact with, and you will have to survive 7 waves of enemies. Enemies in this arena are the basic variants of crabs, wasps, and saw guys. During the fight, remember that it is better to attack wasps flying from above with the up arrow pressed to hit them before they can attack themselves. Crabs and saw guys can be jumped over, so when they get to you, it is not necessary to endure their attacks, but it is better to jump over them and run to the other side of the room.

Waves: 1. basic crab; 2. two basic wasps; 3. two basic wasps and basic crab; 4. basic saw guy and basic wasp; 5. two basic crabs and basic wasp; 6. two basic wasps; 7. basic saw guy and basic crab
Arena 2
The second arena on map 2 has two wooden platforms with falling contraption, and you will have to sruvive 10 waves of enemies. This time, in addition to crabs and saw guys, there will also be larger wasps, whose attacks really hurt, so it's important to refill your oil between waves! During the fight, try not to destroy the crabs, and after you get rid of the armored wasps and only the crab remains, always jump over it, run to the other end of the room, and refill your oil. Repeat this until you have enough. Then eliminate the crab and prepare for the next wave (preferably by using cooling). Similarly, when there is only a saw guy in the room, you can jump over it, run to the other side, and refill your oil; it's harder with it, though, because it can run! In the second part of the fight, enemies come alternately from the left and right, so if you manage to run to the opposite side of the room before the wasps appear, they won't notice you, and you'll have time to refill your oil and possibly use cooling to finish them off as quickly as possible.

Waves: 1. two basic crabs; 2. two basic crabs and basic wasp; 3. basic wasp, larger (red) wasp and basic crab; 4. two larger (red) wasps; 5. two larger (red) wasps; 6. larger (red) wasp and basic saw guy; 7. basic saw guy; 8. basic saw guy and basic crab; 9. basic saw guy; 10. two larger (red) wasps
Arena 3
The third arena on map 3 with one wider wooden platform and one single shot turret attached to the ceiling and you have to survive 6 waves of enemies. You can use the wooden platform as cover from the turret's shots. Unfortunately there is no savepoint before the arena so you will have short runback in case you die. This time the fight will be made more difficult by a turret shooting at you from the ceiling, so you have to keep moving and be careful not to jump into the shot. Try to stay in the middle so that the shot flies as vertically as possible and can be easily dodged. When a helicopter arrives in the arena, you will have to destroy it by jumping onto the wooden platform on the right, jumping to the left, and swinging your sword at the right moment to hit it. The helicopter fight is also a good time to refill your oil before the more difficult enemies ahead. Finally, there will be a beetle, which is best hit once or twice; dash past it, and then finish it off at the edge of the room so you can let Attu to cool down and possibly refill the oil. An alternative method is to immediately dash past it, then turn around and punch it twice, and when the beetle turns around, dash past it again and run away.

Waves: 1. basic crab; 2. two basic crabs; 3. basic crab and larger (black) grenade crab; 4. two larger (red) wasps; 5. basic helicopter and larger (red) wasp; 6. basic beetle
Arena 4
The fourth arena on map 4 has two wooden and concrete fall contraptions and two laser turrets, so you will need to utilize the platforms to survive. This time you will have to survive 5 waves of enemies. When the fight starts get rid of the wasps, and as soon as the platforms activate, jump onto the middle one. The lasers will activate soon, which won't kill you right away but will injure you and return you to the ledge in the middle. Now you'll have to destroy two helicopters. The first one is effortless, because you just have to jump on it; strike it with the sword and land on the platform, from which you have to quickly jump back to the middle ledge. Then wait for the pit to activate again. Once the first helicopter is gone, it's the turn of the second one, but it's too high up to hit with the sword. So you'll have to hold down the grenade button to make Attu reach out, then jump up, release the grenade button, and immediately press it again to detonate the grenade near the helicopter. This maneuver is especially difficult to perform on a gamepad, where the grenade and jump buttons are next to each other and you press both with your thumb. The grenades should fall to the ground, but if one gets caught on a ledge (while you wait for the drop to reset), jump to the other drop that is currently active and then back. After the helicopters, a large saw guy will come, which has strong attacks but is not so fast that it cannot be escaped. Attack it in the following way: run up to it and hit it once or twice, then use dash and run to the end of the room. Wait for it to run towards you (do not attack), and just dash around it and run to the other side, where you will have enough time to cool down and refill the oil. After the third or fourth repetition, the saw guy should explode.

Waves: 1. larger (red) wasp; 2. two larger (red) wasps; 3. lasers activate and two basic helicopters; 4. lasers deactivate and larger saw guy; 5. lasers activate and two basic helicopters and larger (red) wasp
Arena 5
The fifth arena on map 5 has one stone platform and two turrets shooting bouncing grenades, you will have to survive 6 waves of enemies. First you'll have to get rid of a few jumping crabs and bouncing grenades. Then there's a saw guy and a helicopter, which you destroy by luring it down and then jumping over the ledge to it, followed by a moment of peace in which to refill your oil. Then there are two large crabs throwing grenades, again supplemented by bouncing grenades from the ceiling, you need to stay out of the main volley and refill your oil, and finally there's a beetle and a large wasp. First get rid of the wasp by running to the end of the room, and then there's a relatively peaceful fight with the beetle.

Waves: 1. larger (red) crab; 2. turrets start shooting, two larger (red) crabs; 3. two larger (armored) wasps; 4. turrets stop shooting, larger saw guy and larger helicopter; 5. turrets start shooting, two grenade (black) crabs and larger (red) wasp; 6. basic beetle and larger (armored) wasp
Arena 6
The sixth arena on map 6 has four spike traps on the ground but you will have to survive only 3 waves of enemies. At the beginning of the fight, get to the center of the room and then quickly run back to the right. Quickly get rid of the large crab before the beetle gets to you. Beware when it shoots the bouncing grenade it moves around the room until it hits you, even after it dies! When it throws it, it's best to run away and block to neutralize it (make sure Attu is facing the right side). Otherwise, you can get rid of the beetle by dashing through it, hitting it in the back a few times, and then running to a safe distance. When it breaks apart, quickly run to the right corner, where you'll have enough time to refill your oil. When the large wasp flies in, jump over the spikes to the left and wait for it to fly in. However, since its stinger is longer than your sword, it will stay out of your reach. Therefore, you'll have to take one or two steps towards it and then attack. A saw guy with a shield and a wasp will follow. Before they reach the arena, it is recommended to throw an ice grenade in the middle and running to the left. When the saw guy runs over the grenade, detonate it, which will freeze it long enough for you to destroy the wasp. Then run up to the saw guy, jump over it, and attack its back. If it defrost in the meantime, quickly detonate another ice grenade, jump over it, and continue attacking. An alternative way is to stand in the middle, and when they both reach you, detonate a electromagnetic pulse, which will stun them both. You can then jump over the saw guy and quickly finish off both it and the wasp.

Waves: 1. large (blue) beetle shooting bouncing grenades and large (black) grenade crab; 2. spikes go up, giant (armored) wasp; 3. spikes go down, giant armored wasp and large saw guy with frontal shield
Arena 7
The seventh arena on map 7 has two trampolines that are initially under the wooden boxes with spikes and moving laser turret mounted to the left edge. This time you will have to survive 7 waves of enemies. Quickly destroy both wooden boxes on the trampolines with your sword and use them to destroy the helicopter. When the laser starts shooting, go right and get rid of the large crab. Then stun the saw guy with the shield, dash over it since you can't jump over it because of the laser, and kill it with a back attack. Two large helicopters will follow again, which should not be a problem to destroy with the help of trampolines. In the next rounds, however, in addition to the helicopters, two wasps will also come, so it's better to run to one side and gradually get rid of the wasps first and then the helicopters. During the fight with the helicopters, there should be enough time to refill the oil. Just wait until they throw grenades on the ground, then run out of their reach and use oil (medium or large). In the fight with the helicopters, on the other hand, you need to be careful not to hit the helicopter when landing from the trampoline or land on an exploding grenade.

Waves: 1. giant (gold) helicopter; 2. laser activates, large saw guy with frontal shield and large (black) grenade crab; 3. laser deactivates, two large (gold) helicopters; 4. giant (gold) helicopter and giant armored wasp; 5. two large (gold) helicopters, two large (blue) wasps; 6. two large (red) wasps and two large (gold) helicopters; 7. two giant (gold) helicopters and two large (red) wasps
Arena 8
The eighth map on map 8 has a grenade launcher turret mounted to the ceiling and you will have to survive 5 waves of enemies. First, get rid of one wasp. Then a turret will drop from the ceiling, and it will shoot guided exploding grenades. You can destroy them with a pulse, wave, or upward blow. On the other hand, they are not so bad, because when they explode, they also hurt your enemies. Just lure the grenade and the enemy to yourself and then use dash to jump to the side. You can also take advantage of the fact that the grenades do not reach the very edges of the room, so you are safe there. The wasps will also not notice you at that place, so you will have time to refill your oil. Right after the grenades, a large crab will come throwing grenades from the left and a wasp from the right. It is recommended going left, quickly finishing off the crab, then getting rid of the wasp and going left again. There will be two wasps from above (after finishing off the first one, it will be time to refill your oil) and then two large crabs from the left and right (move right). Next up is a large saw guy on the left and a helicopter. Stun the saw guy and then destroy the helicopter with shots. Then finish off the saw guy. Alternatively, you can just dash from one end to the other and wait for the helicopter and saw to be taken out with grenades.

Waves: 1. giant armored wasp; 2. turret starts shooting, giant (black) grenade crab and large (red) wasp; 3. two giant armored wasps; 4. two giant (black) grenade crabs; 5. giant (red) saw guy and large (gold) helicopter
Arena 9
The ninth arena on map 9 has two wooden and concrete platforms with fall contraptions and two laser turrets mounted to each side of the arena. This time you will have to survive 6 waves of enemies. Get to the middle of the arena and then go back to the right, where you quickly kill the big crab. Then stun and eliminate the big saw guy. A wasp and a helicopter will follow, which you should not have any problems killing and refilling your oil. When the platforms activate, quickly jump onto the middle one and prepare for two helicopters. 4 wasps will follow, followed by two big wasps, which you must quickly and skillfully kill so that you lose as little oil as possible. The last one will come with a big saw guy with a shield and a wasp. When the saw guy comes to you, stun it with a pulse (down arrow and then block), jump over it with a dash, turn around, and attack until it turns around. If it hasn't killed him yet, run to the side and prepare for another stun, jump, and attack, use cooldown or refill oil if needed.

Waves: 1. giant (red) saw guy, giant (black) grenade crab; 2. giant armored wasp and giant (gold) helicopter; 3. lasers activate, two giant (gold) helicopters; 4. four large (red) wasps; 5. two giant armored wasps; 6. lasers deactivate, giant (red) saw guy with frontal shield and large (red) wasp
Arena 10
The tenth arena on map 10 has an outside heat source, so you are constantly overheated; two wooden and concrete platforms with fall contraptions; two laser turrets mounted to each side of the arena; and iron walls for wall jumping on both sides. This time you will have to survive 7 waves of enemies. For this arena fight, you need to use all tier 3 equipment. The second attribute doesn't matter as much, but for this fight, only armor and damage are useful, as the cooling speed and overheating temperature are not used. Since it's overheated room, you'll need to use cooling (preferably a large container, but a medium one will do). Whenever a door opens from the pipes bringing in an enemy, quickly check the temperature status, and if it's not frozen, quickly use cooling. Also note that using cooling will cancel all heat generation, so you can use special attacks (pulse, wave, and slash) and dash without restrictions. The first one to come is a beetle throwing grenades. Don't forget that you can deflect the grenades with a block or a special attack (pulse, wave, slash). You can also use the electromagnetic pulse to stun the beetle, giving you more time to hurt it. Thanks to cooling, you can use dash without restrictions, so the strategy can be attack, dash, turn, attack, dash, and so on. Next up are two red jumping crabs, which shouldn't be a problem to take out. Just dash around them when they jump to the side after you. A platforms will go up after the crabs, so quickly jump to the highest one. Get rid of several waves of wasps and helicopters, and wait until the lasers turn off again. Don't forget that you can use special attacks during the cooldown, so it's no problem to stun the wasps coming from all directions with a pulse and then eliminate them in peace. The pulse also deals damage, so you only need to cast about one or two pulses on the smaller wasps, and they will disintegrate on their own, and there's no need to jump on them and beat them with your sword. Last of all, a beetle throwing grenades will come, along with two large wasps. Ignore the wasps, run to the beetle, and use several pulses. This will not only paralyze the beetle and slightly injure it but also get rid of the wasps. Then you just need to finish off the beetle in the usual way with a dash and attack.

Waves: 1. large (blue) beetle with bouncing grenades; 2. two large (red) crabs; 3. lasers sactivate, large (red) wasp and giant armored wasp; 4. two giant (gold) helicopters; 5. two giant armored wasps; 6. four large (red) wasps; 7. lasers deactivate, two large (red) wasps, one large (blue) beetle with bouncing grenades

Boss 1.0

At the end of the third map, you will encounter your first true boss and finally meet the fish bandit who stole the oil supply. The boss will attack you with his hands if you are on the edges and will slam his head into the ground when you stand in the middle. At the same time, he will send wasps at you, which you must eliminate.

Your initial goal is to destroy both oil containers above each hand; in order to reach them, you will have to climb boss's hands. Step closer to the edge, and when the boss swings his hand, use a dash to jump to the middle of the room. When the hand hits the ground, jump onto its wrist, then even higher and onto the wooden platform under the oil container. You must destroy it using an up attack (hold the up arrow and press attack). You have only limited time before wasps get to you or the boss swings his hand again. Repeat the whole process until both oil containers are destroyed.

Once both containers are destroyed, the big robot's head will turn red, signaling that it's overheated, but it will continue to attack. In addition, instead of wasps, it will start sending out crabs. Fortunately, you can now attack the head, so stand in the middle, and when the robot leans back, jump to the side with a dash, and when the head is stuck in the ground, hit it with all your strength with your sword. But don't forget to watch out for oil and overheating!

Boss 2.0

Your final battle with the fish bandit who stole your oil that is now in robotic armor controlling a giant spider. The arena has stone platforms and wooden bridges between them. However, the bridges will fall a moment after you step on them, so try to jump over them and only stay standing on the stone platforms. The spider can attack with iceballs, which you can deflect with the block button. It also sends out wasps, which you can destroy with your sword. When the spider shoots an arm (or both) up from below and turns them into a T-shaped bridge, you can jump on the arm, climb up, and attack the head with your sword. When the arm lowers, quickly jump back to the solid platform. When the spider turns its arms into propellers and sends them out to the sides, duck to avoid its attack from the sides.

Another attack of the spider is that it simply snaps you with its hands, you need to watch out for it and be somewhere else before the spider starts snapping. An alternative way to attack the spider is to send blows upwards (up arrow + block), but you can only hit the head, and it is usually in the middle between the platforms, so you would have to send the blow from the middle of the jump, which is not very easy. Moreover, the middle is the most dangerous, and the spider could finish you off quickly. The best strategy is to stay on the edge larger platform on the left or right, because ice bombs won't land there, and if they do, they can be blocked. The spider rarely attacks with its hands, so the only problem is the wasps and the occasional attack from the sides.

Note: Sometimes it happens (probably due to a bug in the game) that Attu falls down between the platforms, but it doesn't hurt him, and he stays there running around. In that case, it's best to run left or right onto the spikes, which will hurt him a little but will return him to the platform.
