Index: Use of Controls

Feudal Alloy was released on the PC and consoles Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. It is always recommended to play with the controller, even though the game is very much playable while using the keyboard. On PC all keys can be remapped so the control scheme for keyboard, mouse and controller can be personalized to your liking. On the Nintendo Switch console there is no option to remap your buttons.

Use of Controls

Exploring the area
When traversing the areas, don't forget to use the full scope of the controls. The longer you push the jump button, the higher you will jump, similarly if you hold the throw bomb button, it will create an arc so you can aim your throw. When going under the platform, press the jump and down buttons (stick) to go under it.

When you want to interact with the objects, press the up button (stick), e.g., open the chest, use the switch, loot the open box, or use the elevator and teleport. On the other hand, if you want to pick something up from the ground, press the down button (stick). Furthermore, you can attack below you if you jump and press the down and attack buttons, which can make you bounce from the object, letting you attack again.

Controls to unlock
Not all controls are available from the start of the game, despite being noted on the controls scheme. This is due to the fact that controls are connected to the modules that you have to find and collect first; only then can you use the buttons assigned to the specific action that module unlocked. From the basic control scheme, such modules are the bomb module, allowing you to use the bomb button; the block module, allowing you to use the block button (with the parry upgrade, you can use the parry); the dash module, allowing you to use the dash button; and the yellow and red energy module, allowing you to use the color switch button for your sword to destroy same-color blocks.

Button Combinations
Following the previous subject, the need for button combinations relates to the discovery of several modules as well. Specifically, when you pick up the electromagnetic pulse module and want to activate it to stun-lock the enemy or to break through the electronic blocks, you will need to press the block button and down; when you pick the electric wave module to shoot the discharge in front of you, you will need to press the block button and left/right where you are facing, and if you pick up the electric punch module to shoot the discharge above or below you, you will need to press the block button and up/down. These button combinations are reported to be inconsistent, and at times, you may need to repeatedly press the combination for it to register.
